Formula:
Oxytetracycline Dihydrate 20 g.
Indications:
Broad-spectrum antibiotic for the treatment of infections in Cattle, Sheep, Pigs, Poultry and Rabbits caused by germs sensitive to Oxytetracycline. Effectively acts against the following microorganisms: Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Pasteurella haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Corynebacterium pyogenes, Salmonella sp, Staphylococcus sp, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus sp, Listeria sp, Bacillus anthracis, Haemophilus sp, Clostridium perfringens, Bacteroides sp, Fusobacterium sp, Rickettsiae sp, Sphaerophorus necrophorus, Actinomyces pyogenes, Anaplasma marginale.
Dosage:
Cattle, Sheep and Pigs: 1 ml/10 kg bw (equivalent to 20 mg/kg bw) Poultry and rabbits: 0.25 ml/10 kg bw (equivalent to 50 mg/kg bw).
Administration
Deep intramuscular route in all species. It is recommended to split the dose and apply at separate sites, not injecting more than 20 ml per injection site. In sheep weighing more than 50 kg it is advisable to split the dose and proceed as above. In pigs weighing less than 10 kg apply subcutaneously behind the ear. In animals weighing over 10 kg the application should be intramuscular. In all cases, maintain aseptic technique during application. May cause swelling and pain at the injection site. NOTE: Since the product will be used in circumstances beyond the distributor's control, the distributor is not responsible for consequences arising from improper use.
