Buserelin acetate 0.42 mg*;
Excipients q.s. 100 ml
Indications:
Indicated for fertility disorders of central and ovarian origin. Induction of ovulation and improvement
of conception rates at insemination in cows and mares.
Cow: Improved conception rate at artificial insemination and after estrus synchronization.
Follicular cysts, with and without nymphomania symptoms. Anestrus. Delayed ovulation. Follicular atresia.
Prophylaxis of reproductive disorders through early induction of the postpartum cycle. This
treatment is especially indicated in cows with retained placenta or frequently affected
by follicular cysts. Mare: Cystic ovarian alterations, with and without prolonged
or persistent estrus.
Anestrus. Induction of ovulation. Fixing the timing of ovulation and mating. Improvement of conception
rate. Prolonged or persistent estrus.
Dosage and Routes of Administration:
The intramuscular route is preferred, but intravenous and subcutaneous injections are also possible.
Cows: Treatment of follicular cysts. Apply 5 ml (for an animal averaging 400 kg)
(0.00005 mg/kg bw). Perform a check between days 10 and 15 and repeat treatment only if examination
reveals the absence of corpora lutea or cyst formation. Anestrus: Apply 5 ml (0.00005
mg/kg bw). If estrus does not occur, perform a check between days 10 and 12 of treatment. In the absence
of functional structures in the ovaries, repeat treatment. Delayed ovulation and follicular atresia:
Apply 2.5 ml (0.000025 mg/kg bw). Application is done at the same time as insemination
or mating, or up to 6 hours beforehand. Ovulation generally occurs
within 24 hours. Prophylaxis of reproductive disorders through early induction of the cycle after
calving: Apply 5 ml (0.00005 mg/kg bw). Administration should be performed between days 10 and 14 post
partum. Mares: Cystic ovarian alterations: Apply 10 ml (for an animal averaging 400 kg)
(0.0001 mg/kg bw) Anestrus: Apply 5 ml (0.0005 mg/kg bw) twice, 24 hours apart. If
no estrus is observed within 10 days, treatment should be repeated on days 11 and 12 with 5 ml per day.
Induction of ovulation: Apply 10 ml (0.0001 mg/kg bw) Fixing the timing of ovulation and
covering: Improvement of conception rate. Prolonged or persistent estrus: Apply 10 ml (0.0001
mg/kg bw). The prescriptions mentioned in the preceding paragraph apply. To induce
ovulation of a mature follicle and thereby synchronize ovulation with mating, the
product should be administered on the first day the follicle has reached its maximum size, which
is best determined approximately 6 hours before breeding. This can be achieved by
morning administration with breeding in the afternoon of the same day, or alternatively with
the injection given in the afternoon and breeding at night. The mare should be bred the following morning
if she is still in estrus. If ovulation has not occurred within 24 hours after
treatment, the injection should be repeated.
Restrictions of Use:
This product is intended for improving conception rate, inducing ovulation, etc., and should
therefore be used before mating or insemination, and not during pregnancy.
