Formula:
Each 100 g of paste contains: Ivermectin 1.87 g.; Excipients q.s. 100 g.
Therapeutic action of the product:
Oral internal antiparasitic for horses. Strongylus equinus, vulgaris, edentatus, Triodontophorus spp. Small
strongyles Cyathostomum spp, Cylicocyclus spp, Cylicodontophorus spp, Gyalocephalus spp, mature
and immature forms of Oxyuris equi, Habronema spp, Draschia spp and Parascaris equorum (adult and larval forms),
Trichostrongylus axei (adult forms), Strongyloides westeri, Dictyocaulus arnfieldi, Gasterophilus spp (2nd and
3rd instar larvae).
Target species:
Sport horses.
Interactions and contraindications:
Do not administer to horses with severe liver or kidney damage. Do not use in animals younger than 4 months.
Special precautions or warnings:
At high doses, depression, mydriasis and ataxia may occasionally be observed.
In other cases, 24 hours after administration, itching, swelling and hypersensitivity reactions may occur due to the death of Onchocerca spp,
though signs normally resolve spontaneously within a few days.
Do not administer to horses intended for human consumption.
Dosage and method of administration:
The recommended dose is 0.2 mg/kg of Ivermectin at all ages. Each mark on the syringe plunger delivers enough paste
to treat 100 kg of live weight, providing the 20 mg of Ivermectin required for that weight.
Do not overdose.
The product should be applied at the indicated doses, orally, deep onto the upper part of the tongue, by relatively quick pressure on the plunger,
which prevents the animal from spitting out the product.
Care is recommended when treating severely stressed or debilitated animals.
