Bromhexina Hampton
BRONCHODILATOR - MUCOLYTIC AND EXPECTORANT
Jar x 150, 300 and 600 g
Formula:
Bromhexine 1 g.; Excipients q.s. 100 g.
Indications:
Cattle:
Calf flu, shipping fever, acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia.
Horses:
Acute and chronic bronchitis. Early stage of alveolar pulmonary emphysema.

Cattle and Horses
Dosage and routes of administration:
Directly by mouth or mixed into feed or drinking water. In the latter case, mix the
indicated dose with the smallest possible amount of feed or water until consumption is verified. Once
consumed, provide the remaining feed or water.
If not consumed within 24 hours, discard.
Administer daily for 5 days. Horses 4g/100kg bw, Cattle 5g/100kg bw. Level measuring scoop = 10 g
Once the container is opened, it should be used within 30 days. Discard any remainder afterward.
Precautions:
May cause elevated serum transaminases or gastrointestinal disturbances.
Contraindications:
Since bromhexine may damage the gastric barrier, the product should be
given with caution to patients with gastric ulcers.
Do not use in animals with a history of hypersensitivity to the drug.
Do not administer to horses intended for human consumption.
Do not slaughter within 72 hours of administering the product.
Do not use milk from treated animals for human consumption.
