OIL-BASED VITAMIN E SOLUTION FOR ORAL USE.
Indications:
Horses. Treatment of syndromes caused by specific Vit. E deficiency. Muscle atrophy and cardiac deficiencies. Due to its antioxidant action, Vit. E has a fundamental influence on cellular exchange. This property allows for reduced utilization of certain nutrients such as Vit. A (a key factor in reproductive metabolism) and unsaturated fatty acids. Use in animals in training for its trophic action on muscle tissue and its stimulating effect on enzymatic metabolic processes. Hypofunctional states due to excessive sexual activity. In states of low fertility due to reduced semen quality in males, and in females with fertility problems of infectious origin. For treatment of ionophore (monensin) toxicity, as an adjunct treatment for equine encephalomyelitis, adjunct therapy in metabolic syndrome and perinatal asphyxia syndrome (hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy).
Dosage and route of administration:
Oral, drinkable. Administer with the morning or afternoon feed, using an oral dosing syringe. For adjunct treatment of equine encephalomyelitis: 8,000-9,000 mg of Vitamin E per day (800-900ml GERMOVITOL E per day). As adjunct therapy in metabolic syndrome: 10,000 mg per day (1L GERMOVITOL E per day). As adjunct therapy in perinatal asphyxia syndrome: Foals 4,000 mg per day (400ml GERMOVITOL E per day). Mares 10,000 mg per day (1L GERMOVITOL E per day). For treatment of ionophore (monensin) toxicity: 4-12 mg of Vit E/kg body weight once daily.
